چکیده

We study an Eulerian walker on a square lattice, starting from an initial randomly oriented background using Monte Carlo simulations. We present evidence that, for large number of steps N , the asymptotic shape of the set of sites visited by the walker is a perfect circle. The radius of the circle increases as N, for large N , and the width of the boundary region grows as N, with α = 0.40 ± .06. If we introduce stochasticity in the evolution rules, the mean square displacement of the walker, 〈R N〉 ∼ N 2ν , shows a crossover from the Eulerian (ν = 1/3) to a simple random walk (ν = 1/2) behaviour.

Asymptotic shape of the region visited by an Eulerian walker.

We study an Eulerian walker on a square lattice, starting from an initial randomly oriented background using Monte Carlo simulations. We present evidence that, for a large number of steps N , the asymptotic shape of the set of sites visited by the walker is a perfect circle. The radius of the circle increases as N1/3, for large N , and the width of the boundary region grows as Nalpha/3, with al...

Using the shape invariance property we obtain exact solutions of the (1 + 1) dimensional Klein-Gordon equation for certain types of scalar and vector potentials. We also discuss the possibility of obtaining real energy spectrum with non-Hermitian interaction within this framework.

We study the CP-violating bubble wall by solving the coupled equations of motion derived from the two-Higgs-doublet model for the moduli ρ i and phases θ i of the two scalars (i = 1, 2) at the transition temperature. We find a solution that the CP-violating phase θ ≡ θ 1 − θ 2 connecting the CP-conserving vacua strongly violates CP in the intermediate region while the moduli largely deviate fro...

Strangeness enhancement (SE) in heavy ion collisions can be understood in the statistical model on the basis of canonical suppression. In this formulation, SE is a consequence of the transition from canonical to the asymptotic grand canonical limit and is predicted to be a decreasing function of collision energy. This model predictions are consistent with the recent NA49 data on Λ enhancement a...
